These stones I have collected over many years, and are displayed in a cabinet in my collection. They have taken many weeks to tumble polish in a rotary tumbler.
From left to right, they are:
Leithfield Beach jaspers and petrified wood; Whitecliffs Agates, Canterbury; Slope Point Rhyolites, Southland; North Otago Beaches Plasma Jasper (Limonite in prase); Moeraki Beach Lace Agates; Birdlings Flat Agates; Birdlings Flat petrified wood; Alan’s Slip Agates, Mt Somers Station; Hetties Slip Agates, Mt Somers Station; Moeraki Beach Agates; Ballast carnelian, agates and quartz (Originally from Uruguay as ships ballast to Greymouth – now covered over in a land reclamation); Rarangi Beach Lace Agates.
